(Used to be Taj, but under new ownership and now called Suvai!) Their lunch buffet is now excellent (and only $18.99!) cannot recommend it enough. Mango lassi, delicious coffee that reminds me of Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream, chai. Fresh hot garlic naan, a made to order dosa station. And delicious tandoori chicken and a ton of other foods to sample

Best Indian buffet in town. The spices and selection are not just the typical Indian fare. The vegetable and meat dishes were delicious and fresh. They have free coffee AND chai. (Check out the photos!) The samosas were good but could be crunchier and include potato/pea filling. I should also mention the staff were wonderful, checking on us regularly. We loved the 90s Indian music, too; the volume was just right. The buffet menu changes regularly so (although we were satisfied and happy) we will check back for days they also have fish. We give this place an A and will come back weekly.

Def impressed with the range of cuisine. Dal tadka and jeera rice hit the spot. Kadhai paneer was homely, not too spicy. Dosa was pretty solid. Paneer Tikka had great flavors although the paneer could be softer. Fried idli was okay. Spring roll was oily and probably had mashed potatoes filled in, not expected. Overall a solid meal though.

The food was great! The chef customized the dishes as per our liking. Would recommend spinach dosa, paneer corn manchurian, and Buttermilk. Their service was great and wait time was minimal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time recently and will definitely be coming back! I went for lunch and was lucky enough to try the buffet. The selection was impressive - there was such a wide variety of dishes, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed with how well they accommodated my friend who has celiac disease. They even made her a special gluten-free bread/naan, which was such a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere inside is beautiful - the décor is stylish and high-quality, and the chairs themselves are gorgeous. The service was excellent as well: the staff were attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend checking this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. A special shout-out to the live dosa and upma stations—freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! It’s rare to find a place that nails taste, service, and atmosphere so well. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Indian cuisine!

Great - love so many choices. All delicious! The buffet has more choices than other Indian buffets in San Rafael, and every dish was wonderful. This is a fantastic lunch for $20. You must try it if you like Indian buffet. It's a lovely larger dining room, and excellent service. Highly recommended!
